KUHN adds 2 new machines tailored for crop producers

KUHN North America recently debuted two new implements: the HR 6042 R folding power harrow, which is designed to better help growers achieve consistent seedbed preparation; and the Axis 25 fertilizer spreader, a modernized mounted spreader that combines innovative technology, high-capacity performance.
KUHN HR 6042 R Folding Power Harrow
Replacing the HR 6040 R, the HR 6042 R maintains KUHN’s driveline, rotor system, and durability while introducing a redesigned frame that improves accessibility and reduces soil buildup. The single-arm, single-pivot design provides easier access to key components such as gearboxes, simplifying maintenance and reducing service time while helping keep the machine cleaner in demanding field conditions.
Its folding design also improves lifting, balance and transport stability, keeping the center of gravity closer to the tractor for safer, more comfortable operation.
Designed for high-horsepower operations, the HR 6042 R features a heavy-duty, oil-cooled central gearbox capable of handling up to 460 PTO horsepower. Its advanced rotor and blade design produces uniform soil tilth at working depths up to 10”, enabling operators to create a high-quality seedbed while reducing fuel consumption and limiting the number of passes required.
The HR 6042 R is ideal for specialty crop producers, including fruit, vegetable and potato operations, as well as row crop farms performing secondary tillage.
“The HR 6042 R is built to deliver consistent seedbed results while making operators’ jobs easier,” said Nicholas Holmes, KUHN Product Manager. “From improved access for maintenance to in-cab adjustments and efficient soil conditioning, it’s designed to maximize productivity in demanding conditions.”
This machine is available through authorized KUHN dealers across North America.

KUHN Axis 25 Fertilizer Spreader
KUHN’s new precision fertilizer spreader, the Axis 25, serves as a modernized mounted spreader, combinING innovative technology, high-capacity performance, and wide-area coverage to improve operational efficiency.
At the heart of the Axis 25 is KUHN’s exclusive CDA (Coaxial Distribution Adjustment) technology, which maintains the optimal fertilizer drop point regardless of changes in travel speed, application rate, or working width. This ensures a consistent spread pattern and uniform nutrient distribution, even at industry-leading application rates of up to 1,488 lbs./min. (675 kg/min.).
New high-performance spreading discs provide working widths up to 140 feet (42 m), including up to 120 feet (36 m) with urea, without requiring disc adjustments, helping operators cover more acres in less time while maintaining spreading accuracy across a wide range of fertilizer products.
Designed for today’s precision farming operations, the Axis 25 uses advanced technologies such as VariSpread 18 section control, Variable Rate Application, OptiPoint headland management, and SpeedServo metering to optimize every pass, reduce overlap, and improve fertilizer efficiency. Full ISOBUS compatibility allows seamless integration with existing in-cab terminals for simplified machine control, application mapping, and documentation.
The Axis 25 has a patented maintenance-free mechanical drive system that eliminates the complexity of hydraulic or electronic disc drives while providing dependable power transfer, built-in overload protection, and protected gearboxes operating in sealed oil and grease baths. Combined with a durable double powder-coated finish that resists mechanical stress, UV exposure, salts, and acids, the Axis 25 delivers commercial-grade durability and years of dependable performance.
